For over 3 years, the physicians and staff at the Center for Medical Imaging have strived to provide the best quality diagnostic imaging care for our patients. It is our goal to provide the comfort, compassion, and understanding that each patient needs and deserves while visiting our facility.

Our dedicated team works collaboratively, providing each patient with a truly interdisciplinary approach to diagnosis, treatment and care utilizing clinical excellence with the latest and most advanced imaging technology.

SCHEDULING AN EXAM

CT, PET/CT, MR, DEXA and Ultrasound exams are performed by appointment only; to schedule please call (352) 253.6363.

Appointments for standard X-Rays are not required; however, wait times for walk-ins vary. You may choose to schedule an appointment for X-Ray if you have limited available waiting time.

If an appointment was made by a referring physician, a representative of CMI will contact you to confirm your appointment, pre-register, and review preparations.

Upon arrival for appointment, please have photo identification, such as Driver's License, and current insurance card available. Also, please bring exam prescription, if your physician provided to you.

PREPARING FOR YOUR EXAM

Wear warm, comfortable clothing (preferably without metal buttons or zippers). Scrubs and gowns are available if you are required to change clothing.

Please do not wear jewelry.

BILLING AND INSURANCE INFORMATION

As the outpatient imaging facility for Florida Hospital Waterman, insurance filing and patient billing for imaging services at Center for Medical Imaging is performed through the hospital. For questions regarding hospital billing, please call (352) 253.3311.

Radiologist's professional fees (reading fees) are billed separately by the Medical Imaging Professionals (MIPS). For questions regarding MIPS billing, please call (352) 253.0010.

CMI is a Medicare approved facility and accepts assignment on all Medicare claims. Any balance not paid by Medicare is forwarded to secondary insurance (if applicable); in most cases, secondary insurance pays the balance in full.

In addition, CMI also participates in many insurance plans. Please contact our office to verify acceptance of your insurance.

Patients are responsible for any known co-payment or unsatisfied deductible at the time of service. During phone pre-registration, our representatives will notify you of any required payment.

After payment is received from insurance, the unpaid balance is the responsibility of the patient. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
